Early Help OFFER
Early help is about making sure our children, young people and families get the right help at the right time, as soon as problems begin to emerge and before any issues have time to escalate.
We want all of our children, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), to achieve the best possible outcomes and receive the support they need when they need it most.
At Northway Infant School we work closely with our area Early Help Coordinator for advice on a wide range of issues as well as signposting families to external support available to them. The Early Help Coordinator runs termly drop-ins in our community room so please do contact us or the EHCO should you wish to find out the dates of these drop ins or check the weekly newsletter.
Our teachers and SENCo are ALWAYS available to talk to and discuss any issues or problems that our families might be facing, even if they are not directly related to school. We value the partnership with all our families and will work with you, alongside you or signpost you to external support.
We can offer support or signpost parents and carers to agencies for a wide range of issues, problems and concerns for example:
- Bereavement
- Mental Health support
- Housing
- Debt
- Parenting
- Family break ups
